LEFT-OVER FOOD NOT TO BE THROWN OUT ON THE RESERVE
In the Mabula Code it is stated that the animals must not be fed and this is a very important point that we convey to all the Guests visiting our Reserve. Unfortunately it has been brought to my attention that some of the Staff throw left-over food outside the chalet they are cleaning and outside the Staff living areas.
Feeding the animals leads to problems with these animals that enter chalets or pester the Guest until they receive food. At the end of the day these problem animal must be destroyed, as in the case with the ostriches at Modjadji and the baboons at Bush Lodge.
Please be advised that any old or left-over food is to be placed inside the dustbins.
Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Your co-operations in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely
Gavin Hatherley
General Manager - Mabula Private Game Reserve.
